breaking through journal....#1

Well,first of all i just wanted to say that this book is pretty interesting .
One of my favorite scenes was when Francisco is singing in front of his classmates!! and they are all laughing and cheering ..... but then the teacher tells him to start all over again and he is feeling shy and nervous but he makes a good performance. It was funny! It reminded me at the time when i was in fifth grade in Tijuana (Mexico) that i had to sing with a partner for music class in front off the whole school!!! i wanted to die when i was onstage....!when the music started i felt nervous, I could not breath, i was so scared to sing, my mind went blank and i couldn't even remember the words.!So i had to start again and that time i felt more calm than ever. I don't know why i just did. That was the first and last time i ever sang in front of people, after that i no longer took music class because they were going to keep asking to perform, since it was a requirement to grade you.
One of the parts i didn't like so much was, that Francisco had to miss school because he had to work!
i mean......come on! he is barely on the eight grade and he is working as he was a man! he works too much. It upsets me because he didn't get the same chances as the other kids in school ,he couldn't even have fun for Gods sake! (except for when his parents weren't around.)when they came back his dad was really hard on him, he made him work,work,work and the only time he asked him to go out to dance, he was punished for talking back to his dad. I was relieved when he got the chance to go back to school.....
so i just gave my opinion on the book and i enjoyed reading it.
i think i might like it.
